St Andrew Missionary Baptist church was organized on July 9th, 1975 under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Willkie D. Ferguson, Sr. The church was organized with 6 members. The church at his time had a few auxiliaries and steadily began to grow in membership. Pastor Ferguson chose to name the church St. Andrew because Andrew was the first disciple to bring others to Jesus Christ. The legacy of Pastor Willkie D. Ferguson Sr. was that he laid a strong Biblical foundation for Spiritual growth, church development, and strong family values.

Under Dr. Moore’s leadership, the membership continues to grow and develop spiritually, socially and economically through discipleship. He has implemented several key significant and strategic initiatives that have greatly enhanced our church and community. He leveraged his professional background in Information Technology Management to lead the church through the implementation of a new church management solution with online giving, implementation of a new church website to include live streaming of worship services on Facebook and YouTube, launched a new church app, which allows members to give online, submit prayer requests, take notes during service, and incorporated technology solutions to create a more engaging worship experience.
